Logo LuminaireTogether with the architects Jan Störmer, Siteco has developed the ergonomic LOGO luminaire system. Thanks to Eldacon® lighting technology, Logo is the perfect lighting instrument for a flexible office architecture. The highly precise Eldacon microprisms allow for a completely glare-free light control. No matter how and where workstations are arranged within the room, thanks to Eldacon®, direct and reflected glare have been eliminated. The luminaire was originally developed as the floorstanding uplight 'LOGO_S' for the headquarters of the DKV in Cologne. Ergonomic and flexible light was required for the individidual offices and open-plan areas. It was decided to opt for an organic rather than an angular design approach. The luminaire has a horizontal projection similar to the tower situated in the centre of the DKV building complex. Its organic section can be recognised in the design of the luminaire head. The head is bordered by a curved extruded aluminium frame having the form of an isosceles triangle with rounded corners. The new LOGO_S floorstanding uplight's curved head construction results in the luminaire having no rear side and therefore no obvious, predetermined alignment to the workspace. In the case of several workstations, an interesting luminaire landscape can be created. A daylight sensor on the luminaire head takes care of the correct amount of daylight and artificial light. The daylight-dependent light control comes directly under the motto of energy efficiency, i.e. just so much artifical light as necessary, and as much energy efficiency as possible. A combination of direct/indirect light beam distribution creates a comfortable and pleasant ambience and at the same time optimal and glare-free visual conditions for the task area. The 'LOGO_D', a pendant version of the LogoS luminaire was created for the Berliner Tor Center in Hamburg. Design and lighting technology are akin to the floorstanding luminaire. |
